World’s cheapest smartphone launched in India for just Rs. 251 or $4

img_freedom251Noida based company called “Ringing bells” has launched India’s cheapest smartphone for just Rs. 251 . In today’s rate this is less than $4 per device. They say this is in the direction of Make in India and Digital India initiatives.

Phone specifications doesn’t look bad for the price. Actually for Rs. 251 a phone that can make and receive the call would be a bargain. But the actual specification is quite impressive for the price. It claims to have  4-inch qHD IPS display. On the camera front, it offers a 3.2MP AF rear camera with a 0.3MP front camera and Android 5.1 to boot.

The phone also comes with many preinstalled apps related to PM Narendra Modi’s initiatives like skill India, farmers, medical, women safety among others.
